This role is responsible for hands-on ownership of SAP Security administration across the organization's SAP landscape, with supporting responsibilities in SAP BASIS operations as well. The Senior SAP Security Administrator will support user administration, role design, GRC controls, and Segregation of Duties (SoD) compliance, and partner with BASIS and infrastructure teams to administer SAP systems across production, QA, and development environments.
The position serves as the primary point of contact for assigned SAP projects and operational support, including system incidents, ticket resolution, release coordination, and new feature implementation. The administrator will collaborate with BASIS and infrastructure teams on patching, upgrades, and system refresh activities while ensuring security considerations are incorporated.
This individual will monitor security-related system activity, access usage, and authorization compliance while partnering with BASIS teams to ensure overall system stability and availability. They will manage the Transport Management System (TMS), coordinate transports across environments, and collaborate with infrastructure teams on OS, database, and cloud/on-prem integrations.
The role also supports audit and compliance initiatives, including SoD analysis and remediation, and contributes to continuous improvement efforts by identifying process gaps, recommending enhancements, and ensuring SAP best practices are reflected in business processes.
