Compensation

$235,000 – $390,000+

A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Power & Renewables Transactional Associate Attorney to join its Washington, DC office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing developers, utilities, independent power producers, private equity sponsors, infrastructure funds, lenders, and strategic investors in sophisticated renewable energy and power transactions.

Ideal Background

3–6 years of renewable energy, project finance, infrastructure, or corporate transactional experience gained at a sophisticated law firm

• Experience representing renewable energy developers, utilities, independent power producers, infrastructure investors, lenders, tax equity investors, and private equity sponsors

• Experience handling the development, acquisition, disposition, financing, and operation of renewable energy and power projects

• Experience drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, development agreements, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) agreements, operation and maintenance agreements, power purchase agreements (PPAs), and other project documents

• Experience supporting project finance, tax equity financings, construction financings, and other energy-related financing transactions

• Experience with solar, wind, battery energy storage, transmission, clean hydrogen, or other energy transition projects is preferred

• Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, organizational, and communication skills

• Ability to independently manage sophisticated transactions while maintaining significant client interaction

• Excellent academic credentials

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

DC bar admission required or ability to become admitted
