Compensation

$235,000 – $390,000+

A premier national law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Power & Renewables Transactional Associate Attorney to join its Houston office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing developers, sponsors, investors, lenders, utilities, and energy companies in sophisticated power, renewable energy, and infrastructure transactions.

Ideal Background

3–6 years of energy, project finance, infrastructure, or corporate transactional experience gained at a sophisticated law firm

• Experience representing renewable energy developers, utilities, independent power producers, sponsors, investors, lenders, or infrastructure funds

• Experience handling power generation, renewable energy, project development, acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and project finance transactions

• Experience drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, development agreements, EPC contracts, financing documents, joint venture agreements, and other complex commercial agreements

• Experience with solar, wind, battery storage, hydrogen, transmission, or other renewable and conventional energy projects is preferred

• Experience managing transactions from due diligence through closing

• Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, organizational, and communication skills

• Ability to independently manage sophisticated transactions while maintaining significant client interaction

• Excellent academic credentials

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

Texas bar admission required or ability to become admitted
