    Power Service Technician

    Location: Dallas, TX - Heavy Travel Required

    Your Impact

    As a Power Service Technician, you'll support the safe startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting of mission-critical power equipment across the country. Your work ensures our systems perform reliably in environments where downtime is not an option and directly supports our ability to scale with customers.

    Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

    • Perform onsite startups and commissioning support for PDUs, RPPs, switchboards, and electrical distribution equipment
    • Execute electrical testing, verify system settings, and validate proper installation with construction and project teams
    • Diagnose field issues, complete warranty repairs, and document service activity clearly and professionally
    • Support rotating on-call emergency service and stabilize critical equipment during outages
    • Follow OSHA and NFPA 70E safety standards while working in active construction and energized environments
    • Assist engineering and production teams during factory weeks with testing, product validation, and continuous improvement

    Qualifications

    • 3-7 years working with low-voltage electrical distribution equipment
    • Strong knowledge of 3-phase systems, grounding, protective devices, and control wiring
    • Ability to troubleshoot energized and de-energized systems safely
    • Experience reading schematics, one-lines, and wiring diagrams
    • Comfortable working in data centers or other mission-critical environments
    • Strong communication and documentation skills
    • Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 75%
    • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in demanding field environments
    • Preferred: UL891 / UL508A / UL67 equipment experience, OSHA 10/30, NFPA 70E, or manufacturer certifications

    Physical Demands and Work Environment

    Employees must be able to hear, speak, and communicate effectively. Work occurs in data center environments with potential exposure to electrical hazards, noise, and varying temperatures. Flexible hours, including nights and weekends, may be required.

    Physical requirements include bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, climbing, kneeling, balancing, pushing, pulling, and reaching overhead. Must lift at least 50 lbs, raise arms above shoulder level, and perform overhead work for extended periods. The ability to climb and carry ladders (up to 12 ft), navigate stairways, and work at heights up to 90 ft using ladders, scaffolds, or lifts is essential.

    Employees must access restricted areas and wear full PPE. Good vision and hearing and accurate color identification are required. Some projects may lack food facilities, so bringing meals and snacks is necessary.
