QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Systems, or a related technical discipline.
10+ years of experience in electrical power systems engineering, vehicle electrical systems, or related fields.
Experience designing, developing, integrating, testing, and troubleshooting vehicle electrical power systems.
Strong understanding of power generation, power distribution, power management, and energy storage systems.
Experience with hybrid electric vehicle architectures and multi-voltage electrical systems.
Strong background in electrical system modeling and simulation.
Experience using MATLAB/Simulink and ANSYS for system analysis and model development.
Experience supporting subsystem integration and testing in laboratory and vehicle environments.
Strong communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) testing.
Experience using Vector tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, and CAPL.
Knowledge of CAN Bus and J1939 communication protocols.
Experience with military vehicle development and integration programs.
Familiarity with defense industry processes, standards, and documentation requirements.
Experience with Agile development methodologies.
Experience with Git, Jira, Confluence, Teamcenter, and VisMockup.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and integration of vehicle electrical power systems and hybrid electric power architectures.
Define and evaluate power system architecture decisions and conduct technology trade studies.
Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and external partners to integrate electrical subsystems into vehicle platforms.
Develop and maintain CAE models for hybrid electric systems, including HV batteries, electric motors, integrated starter generators (ISG), DC/DC converters, and power distribution systems.
Perform system modeling and simulation to evaluate performance under varying operating conditions, drive cycles, loading profiles, environmental conditions, and customer requirements.
Conduct component and system sizing analyses for electrical power subsystems.
Translate system requirements into validation plans, test procedures, and use cases.
Support subsystem and vehicle-level integration, troubleshooting, and testing activities in laboratory and vehicle environments.
Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to engineering team members.
Develop and review engineering documentation including system requirements, subsystem design documents, interface control documents, and validation artifacts.
Participate in design reviews, customer demonstrations, issue resolution, and defect management activities.
Research and evaluate emerging technologies related to vehicle electrification, energy storage, power electronics, and hybrid electric systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define system interfaces, operational requirements, and performance objectives.
