Our team has a strong publication record in leading journals and conferences.#TransformtheeverydayKey Responsibilities: Contribute to industrial research projects on power system simulation and analysis for AI datacenter applications Develop, implement, and validate power systems and power electronics models using Matlab/Simulink and PSCAD for steady-state and dynamic studies Develop models in OPAL-RT (ePhasorsim and eMegasim) and perform controller-hardware-in-the-loop testing Perform electromagnetic transient (EMT) and RMS simulations to support power system design and stability analysis Basic Qualifications: A current or recently graduated MS or PhD student pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related field Strong hands-on experience with Matlab/Simulink for power system modeling, simulation, and control design Proficiency in PSCAD for electromagnetic transient (EMT) simulations of AC/DC power systems Experience with OPAL-RT for real-time simulation Foundational knowledge of power systems - including AC/DC circuit analysis, load flow concepts, power system stability, and basic generator operation principles Proficiency in English, both written and verbal Preferred Qualifications: Practical experience conducting power system studies such as load flow, short circuit, transient stability, and dynamic analysis using industry-standard tools Experience with software development best practices: version control (Git), unit testing (pytest), and technical documentation Flexibility and adaptability to work in a growing, dynamic, interdisciplinary team of experts across power engineering, software development, and data science A successful candidate must be able to work with controlled technology in accordance with US Export Control Law.
