The Power Systems Design Engineer at Dynapower, Part of Sensata Technologies, is responsible for designing, developing, modifying, and evaluating power conversion equipment and associated electronic components, controls, and transformers.

Develop and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings using AutoCAD Electrical.
Document design work, test results, and software versions in accordance with engineering standards and company procedures.
Design and implement PLC and HMI software applications for control, monitoring, and automation of power electronic systems.
Contribute to the development of custom product software, including firmware and specialized applications for unique customer solutions.
Support electronic board development.
Support system commissioning, field upgrades, and customer technical requests.
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with C/C++, Python, or structured text programming for control applications.
Knowledge of embedded software/firmware development and electronic board-level integration.
Familiarity with power conversion systems (rectifiers, inverters, choppers, UPS, energy storage, or renewable applications) strongly preferred.
Knowledge of communication protocols (Modbus, Ethernet/IP, ProfiNet, etc.).
Understanding of UL, CE, and IEEE standards applicable to power electronic equipment.
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools.
Knowledge or experience with AI‑assisted engineering tools.
Experience with electrical simulation tools.

Base Salary Range:
$95,920.00 - $131,890.00
