Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Power Systems Electrical Engineer to join our growing Power & Energy team. This role is responsible for the analysis, design, and optimization of electrical power distribution systems, including switchgear, switchboards, panelboards, and motor control centers (MCCs). The ideal candidate will ensure reliable, efficient, and code-compliant power system solutions while supporting a variety of industrial and commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze electrical loads and power requirements for industrial facilities and automation systems.
Design and develop power distribution systems, including switchgear, switchboards, panelboards, and MCCs.
Select and specify low-voltage electrical components such as transformers, circuit breakers, protective relays, and control devices.
Utilize industry-standard configuration and design tools, including Siemens COMPAS, Schneider SE Advantage, Eaton Bid Manager, and ABB Empower, to specify equipment and components.
Develop and implement protection and coordination schemes to ensure system reliability and personnel safety.
Collaborate with mechanical, controls, and automation engineering teams to integrate power systems with overall project requirements.
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, including data centers, renewable energy systems, microgrids, and modern power distribution solutions.
Prepare technical documentation, engineering calculations, reports, and project deliverables.
Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, contractors, and clients to support successful project execution.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum of 3 5 years of experience in power systems engineering within industrial, commercial, or power distribution environments.
Strong knowledge of power generation, transmission, distribution, and utilization principles.
Experience with power system analysis software such as ETAP, PSCAD, PSS E, or similar platforms.
Understanding of protective device coordination, short-circuit analysis, and power system studies is preferred.
Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications; experience with EPLAN is a plus.
Familiarity with applicable electrical standards and codes, including:

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and safety.
Additional Information:
Travel: Approximately 5 10% as required.
