If you're ready for a challenge and would like to help make our civilization multi‑planetary then you've come to the right place!RESPONSIBILITIESProvide engineering expertise in design, analysis, and testing of DC-DC power converters for harsh environmentsWork on electrical power system and sub‑system level design trades and develop requirementsDefine and perform electrical power system verification testing and analysisWork with multidisciplinary teams of design, test, and production engineers to create new power electronics hardwareBASIC QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in electrical engineering1+ years of experience in power converter developmentPREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEMaster's degree in electrical engineering or related fieldPrevious experience with DC-DC power converter developmentPrevious experience working with magnetics and design of custom transformers and inductors, including planar magneticsExperience in modeling, simulation, and testing of power electronicsStrong grasp of analog control and discrete logic designExperience in modeling, simulation, and testing of power electronicsWorking experience in voltage and current mode control and compensation designExperience with AC-DC converters and power factor correctionStrong grasp of DC-DC topologies, with ability to select optimal architectures and componentsUnderstanding of design for fault tolerance and reliabilityFamiliar with failure mode effects and criticality analysisFamiliarity with design of wire wound and planar inductors and transformersFamiliarity with power supply testing and packaging for harsh environmentsExperience with in-lab impedance measurement and loop‑gain measurementFamiliarity with spacecraft electrical power systems and knowledge of radiation effectsADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTSAbility to work extended hours or weekends as needed for mission critical deadlinesCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITSPay Range:Power Systems Engineer/Level I: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00/per yearPower Systems Engineer/Level II: $115,000.00 - $135,000.00/per yearYour actual level and base salary will be determined on a case‑by‑case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job‑related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at the company. You may also be eligible for long‑term incentives, in the form of company stock, stock options, or long‑term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
