Powered Industrial Vehicle Repair Maintenance Technician
Location: 1410 Gordon Food Service Dr, Plant City FL
The backbone of any automated logistics operation is a fleet of equipment that is running flawlessly. Our valued material handling equipment (MHE) teams keep our warehouse in motion and our customers successful. As a PIV Repair Technician with Gordon Food Service, you’ll have the opportunity to be hands-on with our extensive fleet of forklifts, Hilos, pallet jacks, and lift trucks, utilizing electrical diagnostics, mechanical schematics, and advanced hydraulic troubleshooting. We have high standards for safety, mechanical integrity, and training to ensure our technicians are safe and our fleet is always running at top performance. We offer a clean, organized parts room and we provide the heavier specialty diagnostic tools; you just bring your basic toolbox. Schedule: 4 day work week!
- Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday
- 7:00 pm to 5:30 am
Pay: Starting at $28.24 based on experience. (Includes a $1.00 Shift Premium)
- Earns an additional monthly performance incentive

Knowledge:
- PIV Mechanical Skills: Complete mechanical diagnostic and component identification on material handling equipment (MHE).Proper, safe, and efficient use of hand and heavy power tools. Ability to perform comprehensive preventative maintenance (PMs) on lift trucks after initial training.
- PIV Electrical & Hydraulic Skills: Electrical component identification and reading system schematics/blueprints. Ability to use a multimeter to check continuity, isolate shorts, and diagnose digital control cards. Ability to safely wire and troubleshoot 480V 3-Phase motors and complex industrial battery charging systems.
Does this look like you?
- Experience in Crown forklift repair required
- You must be 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or GED certificate.
- 1-2 years experience in Industrial equipment made by Crown Lift trucks (Examples of these types of equipment include Pallet Jacks, forklifts, cherry pickers, Reach Trucks, etc.).
- Voltage Ammeter & Ohmmeter (VOM) to measure voltage, current, and resistance - Preferred
- Crown equipment machine repair experience OR an equivalent combination of education and training.
- You'll be asked to do work in high places (scissor lifts/cherry pickers), freezing cold spaces (freezer/cooler warehouse zones), inside/outside, and anywhere within the building where fleet maintenance is needed.
- Successful passing of drug screen and background check.
- Able to lift/move up to 100 lbs during your shift.
