Summary

The Practice Administrator coordinates, processes, reviews and monitors all aspects of the Clinic’s function.This individual is responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing employees and oversees day-to-day operations, planning and coordinating staff coverage, ensures compliance with HIPAA/OSHA standards and identifies problems and makes recommendations for resolutions.

 

EssentialDutiesandResponsibilities

·         Supervisetheday-to-dayfunctionsoftheofficeinaccordancewithfederal,state,andlocalstandards, guidelines, and regulations.

·         Maintaintheofficesothatitisincompliancewithcompanypolicyandgovernmentregulations regarding hygiene, safety and maintenance.

·         Provideeffective,positiveleadershiptostaff.

·         Buildsstrongpositivecommunicationwithphysiciansandworksasateamtoenhancethesuccessof the practice.

·         Participatesinexpensemanagement.

·         Analyzesandstaffstheclinictomeetneedsofhealthcareprofessionalsandpatientsefficientlyand courteously.

·         CollaborateswithHumanResourcestoensurepersonnelpolicydevelopmentandcommunicationto staff to achieve consistency in labor and employee relations.

·         Plans,evaluates,recommendsandimplementsnewinitiativeswhenappropriate.

·         Monitorspatientservicefeedbackandcontributestotheprocessofresolvingcomplaintsandservice issues.

·         Plansandinitiatesprocessimprovementandcostreductionopportunities.

·         Establishandmaintaineffectiveworkingrelationshipswithvendors,employees,othermanagers,and physicians.

·         Coordinatescleanliness,orderlinessandsafetyofworkingenvironment.

·         Responsibleforensuringalllicensing,continuingeducation,etc.ismaintained,inconjunctionwith Central Billing Office.

·         Responsibleforpersonnelmanagementandoversightofclinicoperations.

·         Responsiblefortheenforcementofclinicpoliciesandprocedures.

·         Establish,implement,andmonitorofficepoliciesandprocedures.

·         Serveasliaisonandchannelofcommunicationbetweenequipmentandsupplymanagers.

·         Resolveanystaffproblemsandkeepslinesofcommunicationopentoensurehighemployeemorale and a professional, healthful clinic atmosphere.

·         Controlremovalofmedicalwasteincompliancewithregulatoryrequirements.

·         Ensureeducationalmaterialsandcompanymarketingmaterialsareavailabletothepatients.

·         Controlandapproveemployeetimeforpayrollbyschedulingthestafftomeetoperational requirements.

·         Managetalent-relatedmattersincludingperformanceplanningandappraisal,salaryadministration, discipline and communication, according to company policy and procedure guidelines; address personnel

        related problems.

·        Workwithphysiciantocreate,edit,andmaintainEHRtemplates.

·         Otherdutiesasassigned/required.

 RegulatoryRequirements

   5-7yearsrelatedhealthcaremanagementexperiencepreferred.

   Bachelor’sorAssociate’sDegreeinHealthcareorBusinessAdministrationorrelatedfield.

   Additionaldegrees,businesstrainingexperienceand/orcertificationsmaybecombinedtomeet minimum qualifications.

   MustbeproficientwithWindows-styleapplications,varioussoftwarepackagesspecifictorole.

   ExperiencenavigatinglawsandregulationsofPrivatePracticeHealthcare,

   Previousmedicalsoftwareexperience.

   Ability to Interpret, apply and explain federal, state and local laws, codes, regulations and proceedings, and ensure compliance.

   EducatedonandcompliantwithHIPAAregulations;maintainsstrictconfidentialityofclientinformation.

   ComplieswithInfectionControl,StandardPrecautionsandOSHAstandardsforthehealthcare professional.

   Cernerexperiencepreferred.
