Requirements:

· Must present as courteous and professional at all times

· Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to organize ideas in logical and clear fashion

· Must have the ability to work with others in cooperative and collaborative manner

· An understanding of the relationship between substance use and mental health issues and/or self-help programs

· An understanding of boundaries and ethics

· Comply with Federal Regulations, 42 CFR Part 2, Substance Abuse Confidentiality Regulations and HIPAA Regulations

· Demonstrates ability to work with the alcoholic/ chemical dependent population as well as the mental health population

· Must have the ability to facilitate educational training programs for the staff

· Participates in the development and annual review of medical policies and procedures

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

· Computer literacy and knowledge of electronic health record

· Good leadership, motivation, training and goal-setting skills

· Organization, multi-tasking, and time management skills

 

Duties and responsibilities: 

· Managing outpatient medical and all psychiatric provider schedules for scheduling outpatient and inpatient services (including: approval requests for days off/vacation requests/call out coverage);

· On-Call Psychiatric Practitioner Schedule management;

· Payroll Processing for identified practitioners, including: timecards for scheduled hours, per diem pick up forms, On-Call timecard management;

· Management of practitioner schedules in the EHR scheduler with available hours, changes, and time off requests;

· Data Management of On-Call Documentation with monitoring volume, services, and report for payroll;

· Productivity Report Monitoring (monthly/quarterly aggregations);

· Monitoring reports to support outpatient practitioner billing (ie: Note Corrections, Notes in Draft);

· Participation in scheduled practitioner supervision/staff meetings with Chief of Psychiatry, as requested;

· Collaboration with Chief of Psychiatry to address performance related concerns;

· Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

 

 

 

Duties and responsibilities: Outpatient Call Center/Outpatient Services

· Project Management of the Just-In-Time model and monitoring of access;

· Monitoring Call Log and Elevate reports to ensure staffing meets volume of calls;

· Recruitment, training and support of staff for the outpatient call center;

· Create workflows, training documents and service information, as needed;

· Support call center by answering phones, scheduling appointments and service coverage, as needed;

· Coordination between the outpatient call center and identified outpatient services/program leadership to ensure communication and effective problem solving;

· Monitoring missed visit report, return appointment report and outreach to ensure patient coordination;

· Monitoring Event Notification system to coordinate notifications to programs;

· Chair seat and attendance at monthly provider/health service committee(s), OP/Community Based Standards and other committees as assigned;

· Assist in the enhancement of professional growth through staff meetings, case conferences, and in-service trainings;

· Responsible for continued education in the field of substance abuse, mental health and related courses;

· Attendance at quarterly ACCS Human Rights Committee as third party reviewer;

· Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

· Knowledgeable in the field of chemical dependence and psychiatric illness

· Office Management Experience including scheduling and provider management

· Associates or Bachelors Degree
