IDR is seeking a Practice Manager (Data Center Project Engineering) to join one of our top clients for Atlanta, GA. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead data center infrastructure projects and work with a leading organization in the technology and infrastructure industry. The Practice Manager will oversee the execution of enterprise-level data center initiatives, ensuring project success from initiation to completion.

Position Overview for the Practice Manager (Data Center Project Engineering):

  • Partner with business leaders, oversee day-to-day enterprise data center infrastructure delivery, and support modernization efforts.
  • Lead technical planning and manage field execution for structured cabling, high-density wireless, workplace endpoint hardware, and remote site buildouts.
  • Ensure project scope, timelines, budgets, and quality standards are consistently met across initiatives.
  • Support pre-sales scoping processes, collaborate with OEMs and vendors, and conduct site readiness assessments.
  • Work in a dynamic environment that demands a strategic approach to infrastructure deployment and client satisfaction.

Requirements for the Practice Manager (Data Center Project Engineering):

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise data center infrastructure delivery
  • 3+ years in a project engineering leadership role
  • Strong understanding of structured cabling, wireless networking, and workplace IT infrastructure
  • Certifications such as BICSI Technician, RCDD, CWNA, or Cisco/Meraki Wireless
