Role Purpose
The Coupa Solution Architect owns the end-to-end solution architecture for the global Coupa platform and its integrations. You will act as the primary functional and technical authority, translating complex business requirements into scalable, efficient, and robust platform configurations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Solution Architecture
Design
Lead discovery sessions and workshops with executive stakeholders to align technical capabilities with business outcomes.
Own the end-to-end architecture for Source-to-Pay (S2P) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes across core Coupa modules (Procurement, Invoicing, Contract Management, Expense, and Supplier Information Management).
Design scalable integration frameworks using Coupa APIs, flat files (CSV), and middleware to connect Coupa with major ERPs (SAP, Oracle EBS, etc.).
2. Implementation
Delivery
Lead full life-cycle Coupa implementations from initial blueprinting and design through configuration, testing, and go-live.
Define testing strategies, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and regression testing, ensuring high system stability.
Manage quarterly Coupa release upgrades, minimizing disruption while enabling the adoption of new platform features.
3. Governance
Continuous Improvement
Establish best practices, design patterns, and governance frameworks for platform configuration and data integrity.
Collaborate with Sourcing, Procurement, and Accounts Payable (AP) teams to continuously optimize workflows and drive process automation.
Support internal/external audits by ensuring proper access controls and segregation of duties within the platform.
Required Qualifications
Skills
Domain Expertise:
Deep understanding of Source-to-Pay, Procurement, and Accounts Payable workflows.
Technical Skills:
Hands-on experience with Coupa integration architecture (REST/SOAP APIs, CSV/Flat files, and middleware integration).
Project History:
Proven experience delivering at least 3 to 5 full-cycle, end-to-end Coupa implementation projects in a lead or architectural role.
Certifications:
Active
Coupa Certifications
(e.g., Coupa Certified Integration Architect or Certified Platform/Technical Architect) preferred.
Soft Skills:
Exceptional client-facing, communication, and executive-level stakeholder management skills
