Responsibilities:

Noblis MSD's engineers, developers, technical staff, programmers, analysts, and program managers identify and deploy new shipboard technologies, integrate information technology across shipboard platforms, and develop strategies to support the Warfighter. Noblis MSD Technologies is seeking a Practicing Engineer - Electronic/Electrical to support our NAVWAR work at the NIEF in San Diego.

 

Duties include:

  • Install, configure, and test computer networks to include both hardware and software with assistance
  • Hardware includes, but is not limited to routers, switches, servers, inline encryptors, and modems
  • Troubleshoot networking and connectivity problems with some assistance
  • Run and trace cables
  • Attend technical meetings
  • Assist with the development of technical briefs
  • Update technical documentation as directed
Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma (or equivalent) + 4 years of related experience

  • Electronics technician experience or equivalent (such as troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, installation and de-installation of electronic systems, equipment, components, antennas, cables, cableways, waveguides and ducts, logic analyzers, digital oscilloscopes, etc...)
  • Experience with the installation and maintenance of IT hardware (i.e. routers, switches, etc...) and experience with building out IT racks.
  • Very good written and verbal communication, along with effective time and project management skills
  • Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one required
  • Must be a US Citizen.

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.
