Position Title: Prairie View Elementary Regular Education Assistant

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent.
  • Two years of higher education, an Associate Degree, or completion of a formal state or local assessment.
  • Instructional and/or supervision experience with school-age children, particularly children 5-12 years of age.
  • Consistency in response to children; patient and reliable.
  • Ability to maintain records and information.
  • Experience working with students with special needs.
  • Follow all laws, rules and regulations related to the position.
  • Certified in First Aid and CPR within six months of hire date.

Job Description: This position will be assisting with teachers and students in the classroom.

Reports To: Building Principal(s)

Terms of Employment: 6.50 hours per day on days students are present. Salary, benefits and Employment Terms per the Employee Handbook.
