Pre-Analytical Assistant I - 3rd Shift

Pride Health is hiring a Specimen Processing - Pre-Analytical Assistant I to support our client’s medical facility in Tampa, FL. This is a 4+ month contract with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Title: Specimen Processing - Pre-Analytical Assistant I
Location:Tampa, FL 33617
Pay Rate: $18/hr - 19.78/hr on W2.
Duration: 4 Months
Shift: Monday-Friday 2am-10:30am

Job Responsibilities

• Support daily operations in specimen processing and technical operations
• Sort, rack, centrifuge, aliquot, store, and transport laboratory specimens
• Identify and resolve specimen issues (missing info, incorrect types, etc.)
• Ensure timely and accurate specimen handling and delivery
• Maintain documentation accurately and within required timelines
• Follow compliance, safety, and quality standards
• Assist team during high workload, weekends, holidays, or absences
• Keep work area clean and organized (5S standards)
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Basic data entry and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced production environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Willingness to learn and adapt to changes
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude
• Must be punctual with strong attendance record
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for long periods
• Comfortable working in a biohazard/laboratory environment

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Strong English communication skills required
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required

*Pay Rate is based on experience and educational qualifications.
