Pre-Hospital Project Manager 

 

This position requires an active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance to be considered.  

A government contract requires that this position be restricted to U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents.  You must provide documentation that you are a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident to qualify. 

 

The Pre-Hospital Project Manager represents the Joint Trauma System (JTS) and leads daily operations for the DA Form 4700 (TACEVAC & Patient Care Record) dataset and pre-hospital data expansion. This role translates deployed clinical realities into actionable workflows, guidance, reporting, and form improvements while directing clinical abstractors and coordinating with the JTS engineering/data science team. 

 

Compensation & Benefits: 

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Pre-Hospital Project Manager: $80,000 - $100,000 

Pay commensurate with experience.

Pre-Hospital Project Manager Responsibilities Include:   

  • Manage end-to-end DA4700 PCR intake, triage, and processing across all AORs. 

  • Lead and mentor Clinical Abstractors; enforce clinical accuracy, QA/QC, and standardized categorization. 

  • Drive resolution of ETL-flagged issues (e.g., unmatched locations, medication anomalies) through operational follow-up and coordination. 

  • Serve as primary JTS point of contact for deployed providers; request missing info and resolve documentation/demographic discrepancies. 

  • Translate JTS data requirements into practical field guidance; advocate for provider constraints and operational realities internally. 

  • Lead DA4700 form optimization using field feedback and identified clinical/data capture gaps. 

  • Produce and finalize monthly/quarterly aggregate reporting on casualty care, evacuation timelines, and intervention effectiveness. 

  • Identify theater-specific trends and brief leadership with operationally relevant insights. 

  • Represent JTS/DA4700 at strategic forums and meetings (AE Enterprise monthly; CoERCCC quarterly) and present findings and recommendations. 

  • Advocate for data-driven updates to clinical practice guidelines based on DA4700 insights. 

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned 

 

Pre-Hospital Project Manager Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:   

  • Required: High school diploma/GED and qualifying military medical training/credentialing. 

  • Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (health sciences, nursing, EMS, public health, health administration, or related). 

  • Prior or current military service as a medical provider (medic or nurse strongly preferred). 

  • Deployed experience as a pre-hospital provider (e.g., Flight Medic, SOF Medic, En Route Care Nurse, PA). 

  • Demonstrated understanding of DoD trauma system and operational medicine: Roles of Care (Role 1–4), 9-line MEDEVAC, TRACES, TACEVAC/CASEVAC, TPMRC processes, patient priority classification, AE vs. CCATT capabilities/requirements. 

  • Experience communicating with and briefing senior leaders and working effectively with technical teams. 

  • Familiarity with DA 4700, DD 1380/TCCC documentation standards. 

  • Familiarity with DoD/federal medical data systems: TMDS, DoDTR, HAIMS, PASBA/WISPR, JLV, DEERS, MHS GENESIS. 

  • Operational leadership; workflow design and execution in high-tempo environments. 

  • Clinical documentation interpretation; trauma/intervention knowledge; strong QA/QC mindset. 

  • Stakeholder management and field engagement; tactful provider follow-up. 

  • Clear translation between clinical operations and technical/data teams. 

  • Executive communication, briefing, and meeting representation. 

  • Problem-solving and issue resolution across people/process/technology boundaries.
