Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or GED. Early Childhood Training: A Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or at least 9 semester hours of college coursework in Early Childhood Education or Child Development. Essential Responsibilities
Instructional Support: Work directly with individuals and small groups to reinforce concepts introduced by the lead teacher. Classroom Operations: Assist in preparing instructional materials, setting up learning centers, and maintaining a clean, healthy, and safe environment. Assessments: Help the lead teacher observe and document student progress using early learning assessment tools. Student Well-being: Assist students with personal care routines, meals, and transitions. Family Engagement: Encourage parental involvement and maintain strict confidentiality regarding student information
Terms & Compensation
Schedule: 9-month position (187 DAYS) following the local school system's academic calendar. Status: Classified, non-exempt. Salary: Established Auxiliary Teacher salary schedule.
