Beginners Inn Childcare & Learning Center is looking to hire a Lead Pre-K Teacher!


Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and energetic Pre-K Teacher to join our team! You will be responsible for encouraging children’s intellectual, psychological, and physical growth. The ideal candidate is nurturing, patient, and creative. If you have a passion for helping children learn and reach their potential, we want to hear from you!

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
-Plan and schedule age-appropriate curriculum involving various activities to stimulate children’s cognitive skills, abilities, and development.
-Design a daily and weekly schedule
-Ensures a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for the children.
-Maintains the classroom in a clean, orderly, and safe fashion that is age-appropriate for the children.
-Monitors and records daily observations of children’s behavior and activities.
-Complete parent-teacher conferences to discuss children’s development and concerns.
-Provide basic care and caregiving activities
-Evaluate children to ensure they are reaching developmental milestones
Communicates with families daily and updates them on their children’s activities
-Maintains accurate attendance and enrollment records, and maintains appropriate confidential records.
-Acts as a lead worker and team player to the Teacher Assistants; trains and directs the work of all teachers in the classroom.


Lead Staff Qualifications:
-Associate Degree in Early Childhood/related field (Preferred)
-Required minimum of a CDA or 16 credits of college coursework in a field/related field.
-1-year experience teaching preschool-age level.
-Strong understanding of child development
-Ability to relate joyfully and sensitively to children.
-Patient, kind, and nurturing
-Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
-Must be able to perform physical activities, such as but not limited to, lifting children, bending, standing, climbing, or walking.
-Must pass MICHIGAN CHILD CARE BACKGROUND CHECK.
-Must have current or be willing to complete training in CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens, SIDS, and Safe Sleep.
