Duties

Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Demonstrates skill in diagnosing, prescribing, assessing student learning and appropriate record-keeping
• Possess an educational vision for and experience with low-income and /or minority students.
• Prepare outlines for courses of study, following curriculum guidelines and state and school requirements.
• Assist pupils in selecting course of study.
• Counsel students in adjustment and academic problems.
• Participate in various community groups or functions, faculty and professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training.
• Meet with students and parents to discuss student progress, challenges, & strategies for improvement.

Qualifications

The candidate must hold a Professional Educator Licensure (PEL) with an Early Childhood Education Endorsement and LBSI Endorsement.

• Bachelor''s Degree.
• Professional Educator Licensure (PEL).
• Registered in Region 07 South Cook ISC 4.
• ECS3 Endorsement ( Early Childhood Special Education)
• Early Childhood Education Birth through Grade 3 OR LBS1 and Early Childhool Special Education Approval
• Successful Early Childhood teaching experience preferred.

Salary/Benefits

Beginning salary $52,255. We offer medical, dental, vision, life insurance, tuition reimbursement.
