TITLE: Pre-K Teacher
QUALIFICATIONS:
Early Childhood Education .
Hold a bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
Degree in the area of major study preferred.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Have the ability to infuse technology into the curriculum.
Have ability to communicate and work effectively with administrators, colleagues, central
office and school-based staff, students, parents, and community.
REPORTS TO: School Principal
SUPERVISES: N/A
JOB GOAL: This is a professional position to meet the instructional goals of the school and
school system by delivering instructional programs effectively to ensure student achievement.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Standards and reflects intentional instruction to advance growth and learning.
Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.
Designs a learning environment that engages children in developmentally appropriate activities
and provides exposure and practice for children to reach increasingly challenging goals.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: As found in the Agreement Between the Kent
County Teachers Association and The Board of Education of Kent County. Ten (10) month
position.
Salary Lane: Teacher's Lane. Step established by the Superintendent.
BARGAINING UNIT: Kent County Teachers Association.
FLSA STATUS: Exempt.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the
Board policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
