PRE-K TEACHER

The teacher's goal is to facilitate student learning aligned with the Mississippi Curriculum Framework, ACT, Math, Science, and local standards, fostering responsible and mature individuals.

Performance responsibilities include instructing assigned classes, planning lessons that prepare students for state tests and meet individual needs, and creating a positive learning environment.

• Preparing and organizing lessons, encouraging high standards of behavior, and guiding students toward curriculum objectives.
• Employing diverse teaching methods, assessing student progress, and providing remediation as needed.
• Diagnosing learning disabilities, ensuring safety, maintaining accurate records, and supporting district policies.
• Developing classroom rules, being accessible to students and parents, supervising staff and volunteers, and attending professional development activities.
• Managing textbooks, preparing substitute materials, and performing additional duties as assigned.
  

  Terms of employment are 187 days annually, with salary set by the Board. Performance is evaluated per district policies.
