The Archdiocese of Chicago Catholic schools serve more than 40,000 students in 154 elementary and high schools in Cook and Lake counties. It is one of the largest private school systems in the United States. Its schools have received 96 Blue Ribbon awards from the U.S. Department of Education over the past 10 years.

Teaching assistants play an incredibly important role in our Pre-K and Kindergarten classrooms. These early years are some of the most exciting and meaningful moments in a child's educational journey, as they build the foundations for reading, writing, mathematics, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.

As a teaching assistant, you will partner with our teachers to create engaging, joyful, and enriching learning experiences where every child feels supported and inspired to grow. Your presence helps make the classroom a place where students can explore, discover, and develop confidence.

A strong foundation in early literacy is a wonderful asset, but it is not required. Our dedicated teachers bring a wealth of knowledge and will provide guidance and support.

The most important qualities we are looking for are a caring heart, a willingness to learn, and a desire to make a lasting difference in the lives of children. Together, we can help shape the future-one student at a time.

The Archdiocese of Chicago offers a comprehensive total rewards package to include competitive compensation and benefit programs. Information about our benefit programs is available here.

This position has an hourly range of $15.50 to $17.50. An employee's pay within the hourly range will be based on many factors including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and organizational needs.
