Job Details
As a Pre-Litigation Attorney, you will manage all aspects of assigned personal injury cases through the pre-litigation stage, including:
Evaluate the merits, value, and potential strategy of personal injury claims.
Maintain direct communication with clients and provide ongoing legal guidance and counsel.
Review and analyze medical records, treatment histories, and other case-related documentation.
Conduct legal research and perform case analysis.
Investigate claims and identify issues that may impact case value or resolution.
Develop negotiation strategies and negotiate settlements with insurance carriers and opposing parties.
Authorize and facilitate settlements during the pre-litigation process.
Manage a large and active caseload while maintaining attention to detail and client service.
Supervise, direct, and provide guidance to assigned legal support staff.
Prioritize competing deadlines and ensure cases move efficiently toward resolution.
Collaborate with other attorneys and internal teams to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.
What We're Looking For
Active New Jersey Bar license in good standing.
At least 2 years of legal experience, with meaningful client contact and/or negotiation experience.
Personal injury experience strongly preferred.
Strong legal research, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage a large and active caseload.
Strong negotiation and settlement skills.
Excellent investigative and problem-solving abilities.
Strong judgment and the ability to evaluate case merits and potential outcomes.
Proven ability to provide direction, mentorship, and leadership to legal support staff.
A client-first mindset with a strong commitment to advocacy and service.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
