**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pre-Operative/PACU Registered Nurse to join our team on a full-time basis. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will provide top-notch care to patients before and after surgical procedures. Your expertise and attention to detail will ensure that our patients receive the best care and support throughout their surgical experience.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Conduct pre-operative assessments and prepare patients for surgery.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure a smooth transition of care from the pre-operative area to the operating room.
- Monitor and assess patients in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) following surgical procedures.
- Manage post-operative pain, nausea, and other symptoms as necessary.
- Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of patient care activities.
- Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and discharge instructions.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment in compliance with regulatory standards and policies.
- Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members to enhance patient satisfaction and outcomes.
**Qualifications:**
- Current and unrestricted RN license in Florida.
- Minimum of 1 year nursing experience in a surgical or PACU setting preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Strong critical thinking, assessment, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records and patient management systems is a plus.
