The Millworks location of the Whatcom Family YMCA's Early Learning Centers is seeking a full time, Lead Preschool 2 teacher to lead our classroom of 3-4 year olds. Preschool 2 is home to 20 preschoolers with 2 teachers. Applicants should have experience with preschoolers in a group setting, be comfortable planning curriculum and completing observational assessments/portfolios, and be comfortable directing assistant staff in day-to-day activities. Our program utilizes Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies Gold. Applicants must be comfortable setting up a classroom with preventative strategies for behavior management, as well as adjusting the schedule and activities for children who may need individualize support.
