Preadmission Testing- Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant- Athens

Piedmont Healthcare is recruiting for a Preadmission Testing Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team at our Piedmont Athens-Regional Hospital. Our preadmission testing position work Monday through Friday 8:30 – 17:00 schedule offering a consistent and flexible lifestyle.

In this role you will:

• Examine, evaluate, and treat patients with serious medical conditions, illness or injuries.  
• Take patient histories, conduct physical examinations and record data in patient’s medical record.
• Evaluate and treat patients to achieve optimal patient care.

• Write progress notes; prepare patient work-ups and summaries noting pertinent positive and negative findings.
• Develop plans of care that minimize complications and successfully troubleshoot problems when they arise. Apply preventative and alternative treatment strategies for possible procedural complications.

Education

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current Georgia license for Advanced Practice Nursing Required and
• Master’s degree in Nursing Required or
• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistants program with current license for the Georgia State Composite Board Required

Work Experience

• Experience is preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• ACLS Upon Hire Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
• PA - Physician Assistant Licensed Physician Assistant in the State of Georgia. Updated NCCPA certification for PA’s. Upon Hire Required or
• ACNP - Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Licensed for Advanced Practice Nursing (ACNP/FNP) in the State of Georgia Upon Hire Required
