Step Into the Shop Floor

You power up your GTAW setup, dial in the exact parameters, and verify your plan against aerospace prints. Calipers and tape measure ready, you make that first precise tack on steel, aluminum, or Invar 36—then run a clean, spec-compliant bead. If something’s off, you troubleshoot, repair, or rework to bring it back to print. Along the way, you fabricate or tweak a fixture, a jig, a gauge, or a piece of specialty tooling so the next run is even tighter. Before you clock out, the area is spotless, the equipment is cared for, and you’ve synced with teammates to keep production moving.

What You’ll Tackle

  • Set up and configure TIG (GTAW) equipment to exact job specifications.
  • Read and interpret aerospace blueprints and detailed technical drawings.
  • Execute TIG welds on steel, aluminum, and Invar 36 to print-level accuracy.
  • Repair and rework damaged or non-conforming parts to meet spec.
  • Fabricate and modify fixtures, jigs, gauges, and specialty tooling as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workstation and care for all equipment.
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve production targets.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3–5 years of TIG welding experience, ideally in aerospace or precision manufacturing.
  • Welding certificate from an accredited college or technical school.
  • Hands-on practice welding steel, aluminum, and/or Invar 36.
  • Ability to interpret prints and use precision measuring tools (calipers, tape measures).
  • Must meet Export Control compliance requirements (US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R.).

Preferred

  • Forklift and/or crane certification.
  • Comfort working overtime and varied shifts based on production demand.
  • Self-starter with an eye for process improvement.
  • Comfortable partnering with management to drive location performance.

Why This Role

If you value accuracy, craftsmanship, and teamwork, you’ll thrive here—shaping flight-critical components and continuously sharpening your skill set.
