Step into a Build-First, Blueprint-Driven Welding Role
Industry: Metal Fabrication / Manufacturing
Department: Production / Welding
Locations: Forney, Rockwall, Kaufman, Wills Point, Terrell, Royse City
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire or Direct Hire (based on current need)
Shifts: 1st, 2nd, or 3rd; OT/Saturdays as workload requires
Compensation: $20–$30+ per hour DOE (higher for combo welders, strong blueprint readers, and stainless TIG)
A Day in the Shop
Your shift kicks off with a print review. You verify dimensions to 1/16", mark your layout with square and soapstone, and prep material. From there, you’ll run precise MIG on carbon and structural steel—then switch to TIG to finish aluminum or stainless components. You fit and tack assemblies, confirm tolerances, and power through multi-pass fillets, grooves, laps, and verticals with clean technique and minimal spatter.
Between beads, you’ll grind, deburr, and rework when needed. You’ll move confidently among saws, drill press, ironworker, and the plasma table, supporting rush jobs while following PPE and OSHA standards. When production calls, you help the team hit schedule—sometimes with Saturday overtime.
