Precision Assembler-2nd Shift

Nesco Resource is looking for a 2^nd shift Precision Matching Assembler located in Torrington, CT. This is a temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM–11:00 PM

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Position Overview: The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, comfortable performing repetitive tasks with a high degree of accuracy, and capable of working in a controlled cleanroom environment while maintaining quality and productivity standards. Candidates must be available to train on 1st shift for approximately 2 months, Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, before transitioning to the 2nd shift schedule.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder)
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Ability to work in a cleanroom environment, including wearing full cleanroom garments for extended periods
• Strong manual dexterity and steady hands for handling small, delicate components
• Attention to detail and ability to work with precision measurements

• Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions
• Match and assemble precision products at a matching bench
• Select appropriate component sizes and configurations based on specifications
• Assemble higher-precision products in a cleanroom environment
• Perform specialized processes including:
  • Equipment setup
  • Weighted greasing
  • Oil plating
  • Noise testing
  • Vacuum bagging
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and make adjustments or minor repairs to mechanical equipment
• Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions, tolerances, and product quality
• Troubleshoot and resolve measurement and gauging issues as needed
• Support additional assembly operations, including:
  • Operating assembly equipment
  • Greasing, capping, sealing, bagging, and packing products
• Maintain accurate production and quality records
• Move materials, components, and finished products between production areas
• Follow established procedures, routing instructions, and quality standards
• Minimize scrap and rework by identifying and reporting production issues promptly
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Perform basic preventive maintenance tasks as assigned
