Precision Assembly Technician – Fluid Handling Systems

Picture your day starting at 7:00 a.m. with a quick safety huddle, then moving to your bench where a new build order is queued. You review the bill of materials and drawings, prep your tools, and begin assembling a mission-critical pump system component by component. By mid-morning you’re validating fits, inspecting tolerances, and documenting results. After lunch, a test uncovers a minor issue—you troubleshoot, resolve it, and finish by packaging the unit to ship. That’s a typical day for a Precision Assembly Technician with Ingersoll Rand’s Milton Roy team.

Ivyland, PA (Milton Roy – 201 Ivyland Rd., Warminster, PA 18974)

Schedule & Employment

• 1st shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
• Overtime and weekend work as needed
• Full-time, direct hire
• No travel

What you’ll do

• Assemble components and subassemblies from detailed work instructions, BOMs, and technical drawings/blueprints.
• Use hand, pneumatic, and power tools (e.g., screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, presses); operate cranes/hoists when required.
• Perform specialized tasks such as tube bending and soldering as needed.
• Inspect completed assemblies for quality, accuracy, and conformance to specifications.
• Test and troubleshoot assemblies to ensure performance standards are met.
• Track, request, and stage materials and components to keep builds moving.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times.

Basic qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years in mechanical assembly or similar fast-paced manufacturing/operations

Key competencies

• Clear written and verbal communication
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Comfort performing varied, sometimes complex, build tasks

Preferred

• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs individually and up to 70 lbs with a team lift
• Hands-on experience with a range of hand, pneumatic, and power tools
• Basic computer literacy (e.g., SSO, JD Edwards, Microsoft Outlook)
