Description

We're looking for a Precision Clean-line Technician who is fanatical with the details that others overlook. This role is responsible for protecting the integrity of flight hardware through contamination control, hydro-proof testing, and supporting critical finishing operations.

This is not a position for someone who waits for instructions or simply completes assigned tasks. We are looking for someone who takes ownership, actively looks for work, identifies problems before they become issues, and holds themselves to exceptionally high standards.

If you're the type of person who notices the smallest defect, refuses to cut corners, and believes that excellence comes from relentless attention to detail, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Foreign Object Debris (FOD) inspection, removal, and verification to ensure hardware is free from contamination prior to downstream operations.
  • Execute agar handling and processing in accordance with engineering specifications and work instructions.
  • Perform hydro proof testing while ensuring all pressure testing procedures are executed safely and accurately.
  • Operate hydroforming equipment to produce precision aerospace components that meet dimensional and quality requirements.
  • Inspect hardware throughout each operation to identify defects, contamination, damage, or nonconformances before they reach the next manufacturing stage.
  • Support Clean line and Deburr operations as production demands require to maintain manufacturing flow and maximize throughput.
  • Maintain exceptional housekeeping.
  • Complete manufacturing documentation accurately and ensure full process traceability.
  • Immediately communicate quality concerns and stop the flow of hardware when product integrity is in question.
  • Continuously looking for opportunities to improve efficiency, organization, quality, and standard work.
What Makes Someone Successful
The right candidate will:
  • Be a self-starter who consistently finds ways to add value without waiting for direction.
  • Take pride in staying productive and supporting the team wherever help is needed.
  • Be fanatical about detail and understand that seemingly insignificant issues can have mission critical consequences.
  • Possess a strong sense of ownership and accountability for every part you touch.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where quality and schedule are equally important.
  • Have the discipline to follow processes while remaining engaged and constantly looking for opportunities to improve them.
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and maintain a clean, orderly work area always.
  • Understand that complacency has no place in aerospace manufacturing. Every operation deserves the same level of focus whether it's the first part or the hundredth.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 4+ years of experience in precision cleaning, cleanroom operations, or aerospace/semiconductor/medical manufacturing
  • Proficient with basic fabrication tools and processes (electric/pneumatic power tools, tube bending, machining, welding, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience with solvents, ultrasonic cleaning, and DI water systems

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • 4+ years of demonstrated experience in spacecraft or aerospace hardware cleaning
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ISO 14644 cleanroom standards and NASA/JPL contamination-control guidelines
  • Certified training in handling hazardous materials (HAZMAT)
  • Prior experience with documentation systems such as ERP/MRP or digital travelers
Additional Requirements:
  • Flexible schedule and willing to travel as needed
  • Ability to lift 25lbs unassisted

Additional Information:

Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity.
