Shape the grid of tomorrow—one precise part at a time

At Siemens, technology drives sustainable progress. Our Electrification & Automation (EA) team delivers dependable power distribution for today while investing in Future Grids for tomorrow. Join our Wendell manufacturing campus supporting components that power communities worldwide.

We’re hiring across several hands-on production specialties—CNC Copper machining, Press Brake operation, and Komax wire processing. Apply once, and we’ll match your background to the best-fitting path and hire you into a primary role after interviews.

A day in this role

You’ll start by reviewing BOMs and engineering drawings, prepping your workstation, and setting up machines. Through the shift, you’ll run precision equipment—such as press brakes, ERHT machines, or Komax wire processors—verifying specs with calipers and gauges, logging production data in our systems, and ensuring every component meets Siemens’ quality and safety standards. You’ll close out the day by performing basic maintenance, 5S, and handing off clear notes for the next team.

Shifts, pay, and training

  • Shift Hours: 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM- 11:30 PM; 3rd Shift:11:00PM - 7:30 AM
  • Hourly Rate: $22.46 + $1.50 Shift Differential
  • Training: Your onboarding begins on 1st shift, then transitions to 2nd or 3rd as determined by the manager.

What you’ll do

  • Set up, operate, and monitor manufacturing equipment (press brake, ERHT, Komax wire processing) to produce high‑quality parts and assemblies
  • Interpret and follow BOMs, layouts, 2D/3D blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
  • Use hand tools, power tools (pneumatic and battery‑operated), torque wrenches, and precision measuring devices safely and accurately
  • Inspect output, record production metrics, and complete required digital documentation
  • Keep your area clean and organized while meeting all Environmental, Health, and Safety practices
  • Support continuous improvement and assist with other duties as needed

Basic qualifications

  • Hands-on experience in manufacturing or production (mechanical assembly, machine operation, or similar)
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation
  • Mechanical aptitude; skilled with hand and power tools, torque tools, and measurement devices
  • Comfort working on your feet and performing physical tasks (reach, grasp, bend, stoop, lift up to 50 lbs.)
  • English language proficiency (speak/read/write/understand)

Preferred qualifications

  • Background operating Press Brake, ERHT, or Komax wire processing equipment
  • Experience with CNC equipment, SAP, or lean manufacturing
  • Wiring, cable assembly, or mechanical assembly experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Where you’ll make an impact

Every part you help build supports safe, reliable power distribution solutions for industrial, commercial, and infrastructure customers, advancing resilient and sustainable grids.

Selection process

Applicants are considered for multiple openings across CNC Copper machining, Press Brake, and Komax operations. Following interviews, you’ll be placed into a primary role aligned with your skills and our business needs.
