A day in this role

  • Set up and run precision equipment—CNC machines, CMMs, FARO Arms, milling centers, and related tooling—to deliver components to exact specifications.
  • Translate engineering drawings and specifications into real parts, prototypes, fixtures, and assemblies; modify and rework as needed.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production to troubleshoot issues, refine workflows, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Use precision metrology to verify quality and compliance with customer and industry standards.
  • Maintain equipment readiness and a clean, safe, and well-organized workspace through routine care and adherence to procedures.

What you bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of machining and/or fabrication experience with practical CNC programming knowledge.
  • Formal training as a machining technician, machine operator, or lathe operator.
  • Fluency in blueprint reading; strong reading, writing, and mathematics skills.
  • Hands-on experience with dial indicators, micrometers, and gauges.

Physical requirements and work environment

  • Frequent walking; reaching; and the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as tasks demand.
  • Regular climbing of stairs, steps, and ladders; routine work on elevated platforms and overhead.
  • Occasional lifting/moving up to 40 pounds.
  • Visual acuity including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
  • Comfort working in non-climate-controlled areas and, when required, in inclement weather.
