Start your day in Greenwood, AR, powering up CNC mills and lathes, reviewing a fresh set of blueprints, and dialing in tooling so every cut is true. You’ll own your setup, run parts to spec, and keep machines humming.
- Location: Greenwood, AR
- Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Fridays and Saturdays as needed)
- Pay: $18/hour or more, depending on experience
What a Typical Day Looks Like
You’ll review job specs and drawings, select the right tooling, set offsets, and run first-article checks using calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Throughout the shift, you’ll monitor dimensions, adjust feeds and speeds, and document any non-conformances—partnering with the team to correct issues. Between runs, you’ll clean down the work area, perform basic preventative maintenance, and keep safety front and center.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and related fabrication equipment
- Tweak machine settings and tooling to meet job specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
- Inspect parts with measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) and report non-conformances; assist with corrective actions
- Perform routine maintenance and keep machines and work areas clean while following all safety protocols
What You Bring
- Proof of a high school diploma or equivalent is required
- 2+ years in a manufacturing plant or shop environment
- 1–2 years as a CNC machine operator
- Ability to read blueprints and use a tape measure accurately
- Strong attention to detail and solid mechanical aptitude
Physical Demands
- Lift up to 50 lbs; walk, bend, kneel, and stoop as needed
