You power up CNC mills and lathes, run first-piece checks, verify setups, and make precise adjustments. Throughout your shift, you keep parts within spec, document your work, and help maintain the equipment and supplies that keep production humming—all while upholding strict safety and quality standards.
What You’ll Do
- Produce precision components by operating CNC mills and lathes to meet print and process specifications.
- Maintain quality and safety standards through in-process inspection, documentation, and adherence to procedures.
- Keep accurate records of production, measurements, and tooling adjustments.
- Perform routine maintenance and manage supplies to ensure reliable machine performance.
- Collaborate with teammates and support a culture of continuous improvement.
What You Bring
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a machinist operating CNC equipment (mills and lathes).
- At least six months of related training or experience in a machining environment.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints (or strong grasp of blueprint fundamentals).
- Proficiency with inspection tools: O.D. micrometers, calipers, plug gauges.
- Solid math skills using whole numbers (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
- Strong communicator and proven team player who can work with minimal supervision.
- Adaptable to evolving procedures and changing priorities.
- Physical capability to frequently lift/move up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Close and color vision with the ability to adjust focus; manual dexterity for precision part handling.
- Commitment to follow all company policies and procedures.
