Precision CNC Setup & Operations Machinist

A Day in the Role

You arrive to a clean, organized cell, review the day’s runs, and pull up CAD-driven prints. You set tooling, dial in offsets, and bring the first piece to spec. Throughout the shift, you keep a close eye on machine behavior, make smart adjustments, and verify tolerances with micrometers and calipers. You knock out light maintenance, troubleshoot issues before they become downtime, and huddle with teammates to refine setups for faster, more consistent output. Safety and housekeeping wrap every task you touch.

What You Will Handle

• Set up and operate CNC equipment to deliver precision parts that meet spec.
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models to plan work.
• Monitor operations; adjust feeds, speeds, and tool offsets to maintain quality.
• Perform routine maintenance and resolve basic machine issues.
• Inspect components using precision gauges to confirm conformance.
• Collaborate with peers to improve processes and boost throughput.
• Keep the work area safe, organized, and audit ready.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent; machining certificate or technical training preferred.
• Hands-on experience as a CNC Machinist or in a comparable machining role.
• Ability to read and interpret prints and technical documentation with confidence.
• Solid grasp of CNC machinery, tooling selection, and setup practices.
• Skilled with precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Strong attention to detail and methodical problem solving.
• Comfort working independently and contributing on a team.
• Clear communicator with a positive, solutions-first mindset.
