    What a Day Looks Like

    From first spark to final inspection, you’ll turn drawings into durable, accurate assemblies while keeping safety and efficiency front and center.

    • Build and fit metal structures and equipment using a range of welding processes.
    • Translate blueprints, prints, and schematics into precise setups and high‑quality welds.
    • Weld confidently in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
    • Verify your own work with thorough quality checks to ensure every weld meets spec.
    • Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to complete work accurately.
    • Coordinate with teammates to sequence tasks and hit deadlines.
    • Perform basic maintenance and routine inspections on welding gear to keep everything running smoothly.

    What You’ll Bring

    • Hands-on welding and fabrication experience, including FCAW (flux‑cored) and Stick (SMAW) techniques.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics with confidence.
    • Strong troubleshooting approach for tackling fit-up, distortion, and process issues.
    • Attention to detail and a commitment to consistent, high-quality results.
    • Thrives working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
    • Comfort with forklifts and cranes is preferred.
    • Background in machining or related trades is a plus, not a requirement.
