Love turning complex prints into flawless deep bores?
Do you enjoy taking a challenging blueprint, programming a clean toolpath, and watching a first article pass CMM with flying colors? Are you at home on a UNISIG gundrill and comfortable tweaking G-code to get surface finish and straightness just right? If yes, read on.
Your impact
- Own the setup and operation of CNC gundrill machines to meet demanding specs and safety standards.
- Create and refine CNC programs with CAM, improving cycle time, chip evacuation, and hole quality.
- Translate prints and GD&T into accurate machining strategies.
- Verify critical features using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and CMM equipment.
- Troubleshoot and maintain CNC assets—plus support CNC lathe and mill operations using Fanuc controls.
- Choose the right tooling and setups for plastics and metal substrates.
- Conduct in-process checks and final inspections to ensure conformance.
- Champion lean improvements to reduce waste and boost throughput.
- Jump in with assembly tasks as needed using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Keep the work area organized and compliant with all safety procedures.
What you’ll bring to the table
