Love turning complex prints into flawless deep bores?

Do you enjoy taking a challenging blueprint, programming a clean toolpath, and watching a first article pass CMM with flying colors? Are you at home on a UNISIG gundrill and comfortable tweaking G-code to get surface finish and straightness just right? If yes, read on.

Your impact

  • Own the setup and operation of CNC gundrill machines to meet demanding specs and safety standards.
  • Create and refine CNC programs with CAM, improving cycle time, chip evacuation, and hole quality.
  • Translate prints and GD&T into accurate machining strategies.
  • Verify critical features using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and CMM equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain CNC assets—plus support CNC lathe and mill operations using Fanuc controls.
  • Choose the right tooling and setups for plastics and metal substrates.
  • Conduct in-process checks and final inspections to ensure conformance.
  • Champion lean improvements to reduce waste and boost throughput.
  • Jump in with assembly tasks as needed using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
  • Keep the work area organized and compliant with all safety procedures.

What you’ll bring to the table

  • Experience running CNC gundrill machinery; UNISIG background is a strong plus.
  • Comfortable writing/editing G-code and leveraging CAM.
  • Confident in blueprint reading with GD&T application.
  • Mechanical savvy with fixtures, tooling choices, and process flow.
  • EDM familiarity is beneficial.
  • Ability to review part models and drawings in SolidWorks or comparable CAD.
  • Solid math skills to handle tolerances and measurement conversions.
  • Awareness of diverse manufacturing settings; plastics injection molding exposure is advantageous.
  • Proficient with precision metrology: micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and CMMs.
  • Lean mindset focused on efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Preferred: valid forklift certification for materials movement.
  • Team-first attitude; comfortable with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.

Why you’ll enjoy this

You’ll craft high-precision components that serve multiple industries, collaborate with skilled teammates, and see your process improvements turn into real productivity gains. If precision and progress motivate you, this is your place.
