A leading manufacturer in the industrial sector is on the lookout for a skilled machinist to join our team, playing a vital role in the creation of bespoke components and specialty items. This position suits a proactive individual adept with both traditional and CNC machinery, who can seamlessly integrate into an environment focused on production excellence and continuous improvement.

In this pivotal role, you will collaborate on projects involving diverse materials, accurately interpret engineering diagrams, set up machinery for efficient production runs, and confirm the integrity of finished products against quality benchmarks. Success in this position demands keen analytical skills, precision measurement expertise, and an intuitive understanding of machining processes from start to completion.

**Key Duties Include:**
- Operate an array of machining equipment including manual and CNC tools to manufacture a variety of metal and plastic components.
- Analyze blueprints and technical schematics to determine appropriate measurements, tolerances, and equipment settings.
- Configure tooling and fixtures, ensuring stability and precision in the workflow.
- Adjust operational parameters such as speed, feed rate, and coolant volume to optimize machining performance.
- Program and verify CNC data, making real-time adjustments to ensure adherence to project specifications.
- Conduct trial runs to validate setup accuracy and refine operational parameters as needed.
- Use advanced measurement techniques to inspect and validate components post-production for dimensional accuracy.
- Resolve technical discrepancies by coordinating with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, and customer support.
- Advocate and uphold safety, quality, and efficiency standards within the shop environment.

**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Possession of an associate degree, vocational training, or formal apprenticeship in machining or a related field is desirable.
- A wealth of experience, ideally four or more years, in a high-precision manufacturing setting.
- Proficient in configuring and operating both legacy equipment and state-of-the-art CNC machinery.
- Adept in reading complex technical drawings, and a proven track record in a standards-driven production landscape.
- Strong mathematical reasoning, encompassing geometry, trigonometry, and machining-specific calculations.

**Technical Skills:**
- Competent in the manual and CNC environment focusing on task optimization and precision.
- Capable of performing threading, calculating machining variables, and optimizing tooling for superior surface finishes.
- Proficient in maintaining and sharping machine tooling to ensure operational readiness.
- Expertise with sophisticated measuring instruments and shop-based resources.

**Physical and Work Environment Demands:**
- The role involves frequent standing, tool manipulation, and fine visual assessment of machined parts.
- Occasional requirements may involve bending, climbing, or lifting substantial materials.
- Work occurs in a dynamic mechanical setting, with exposure to various industrial conditions.
- Essential vision capabilities include acute spatial awareness and the ability to focus consistently.

**Compensation and Benefits:**
This opportunity offers a robust salary complemented by a comprehensive benefits package, potentially including healthcare, retirement savings plan, paid leave, profit sharing, and educational support.
