  • Partner with Engineering and Production to iterate cutting strategies and fixtures for speed and accuracy.
  • Make safety a shared value and ensure full compliance with all requirements.
  • Use data to drive decisions—identify gaps, execute countermeasures, and verify results.
  • Provide clear dashboards and reports to leadership covering output, quality, and team development.

Core Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily machining operations against schedule and quality targets.
  • Lead and coach machinists; conduct skills assessments and targeted training.
  • Document and improve machining procedures to boost throughput and efficiency.
  • Coordinate maintenance to minimize downtime and extend asset life.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to improve tooling, programming, and setups.
  • Ensure a safe, compliant working environment at all times.
  • Analyze KPIs and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Prepare management reports on production, quality metrics, and team progress.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Manufacturing or related discipline preferred.
  • 5+ years in machining operations with 2+ years in a supervisory/managerial capacity.
  • Expertise in machining fundamentals, tooling, and equipment.
  • Demonstrated leadership—able to motivate and develop a diverse team.
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical mindset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Familiarity with machining safety standards and regulations.
  • Proficiency with machining software and tools (CAM, shopfloor systems, measurement tools).
