Precision Manufacturing NC Programmer — Milling & Turning

What you’ll take on
- Program CNC milling, turning, and multi‑axis operations for precision components.
- Use Mastercam, WorkNC, VISI, or equivalent to generate robust toolpaths.
- Translate drawings, 3D models, GD&T, and customer specs into manufacturable plans.
- Choose tools, fixtures, and cutting data aligned to materials and tolerances.
- Team with machinists and manufacturing engineers to solve issues quickly.
- Run prove‑outs and first‑article validations; refine feeds/speeds and strategies.
- Reduce cycle times, safeguard quality, and extend tool life.
- Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Publish setup documentation, tooling lists, and process instructions.
- Support fixture design and process development.
- Troubleshoot programming, tooling, and machine performance problems.
- Follow company quality standards and safety practices.
What you bring
Must‑haves
- High school diploma or GED (technical degree/apprenticeship preferred).
- 3+ years of CNC programming experience in manufacturing.
- Fluency in at least one: Mastercam, WorkNC, or VISI.
- Strong blueprint reading with GD&T interpretation.
- Background in CNC milling and/or turning.
- Deep knowledge of machining processes, cutting parameters, tooling, and workholding.
- Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Siemens, Mazak, or similar controls.
- Analytical mindset plus strong communication and teamwork.
Nice‑to‑haves
- 3‑, 4‑, and 5‑axis programming experience.
- Exposure to tool & die, aerospace, automotive, medical device, or precision manufacturing.
- Fixture design skills.
- CAD capability (SolidWorks, Siemens NX, CATIA, Creo, etc.).
- Lean/Continuous Improvement experience.
Physical realities of the role
- On your feet in a manufacturing facility; walking and moving between machines.
- Occasional lifts up to 40 lbs.
- Regular exposure to machine noise, coolants, and metal chips.
