Precision Mechanical Assembler II

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a Precision Mechanical Assembler II for a precision manufacturing company specializing in advanced photonics and medical device components, which would be a great opportunity for someone with experience in small component assembly, precision testing, and equipment operation looking to further their career in high-precision manufacturing and medical device assembly.

• Assemble small precision components (0.5-4 inches) using hand tools and following technical drawings and work instructions
• Perform bearing installation and adhesive/bonding applications; operate proprietary assembly equipment and machinery
• Inspect finished products, identify non-conformances, and adjust or replace faulty components to ensure quality standards
• Train and support Level 1 assemblers; maintain organized workspace and collaborate on process improvements

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 2-3 years of mechanical assembly experience with bearing installation and adhesive/bonding applications
• High school diploma; technical trade school training in precision manufacturing preferred
• Proficiency with hand tools, technical drawings, and magnification equipment; ability to execute precision work with strong attention to detail

BONUS QUALIFICATIONS

• SMT soldering experience
• Experience with opto-mechanical, medical device, or precision instrument assembly
