Precision Mechanical Assembly Technician

Picture your first week: you’re handed a build kit for a complex mechanism serving customers in manufacturing, medical, and aerospace. You review the blueprint package, prep fixtures, and confirm every fastener and fabricated component is present. As you assemble, you validate form, fit, and function at the piece-part, subassembly, and final build levels—then document test outcomes and prepare the unit for packaging.

What you’ll do

  • Assemble mechanical products by following established work instructions and documented processes.
  • Set up fixtures quickly and accurately; switch between jobs with minimal downtime.
  • Read and interpret assembly drawings, layouts, and prints to guide every build step.
  • Confirm dimensional accuracy and compatibility of parts, from individual components through completed assemblies.
  • Maintain counts of critical components; support inventory accuracy for high-volume production.
  • Record production output, scrap, and any rework directives with strong attention to detail.
  • Collaborate in a team setting, bringing solid communication skills and a strong work ethic.

What you bring

  • High school diploma, GED, or trade school credential.
  • Comfort with shop math and reading a tape measure.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to assemble parts efficiently and correctly.
  • Exceptional organization and follow-through.

Work environment

Operate in a clean, fast-paced shop alongside engineering, production, and office teammates. You may sit or stand for extended periods, and periodic lifting and movement is part of the role. Our builds support a range of customers, including those in manufacturing, medical, and aerospace.

Schedule and pay

  • Hiring for Shift 1 and Shift 2.
  • Entry-level compensation: $18–$22 per hour.
