You arrive, review the job traveler, and set up a work cell that includes piercing, bending, and forming equipment. Before the first run, you complete a first-piece inspection, record exact measurements, and compare results against drawings. As parts flow, you keep a close eye on quality—verifying with gauges, micrometers, and scales—while loading and unloading materials and moving parts where they need to be. If a machine sounds off or a tool wears, you halt, troubleshoot, and report it, always putting safety first. And when priorities shift, you adapt and take on other assigned tasks to keep production moving.
What you’ll handle
Set up, operate, and monitor machines, including piercing, bending, and forming equipment.
Run first-piece inspections and document measurements before production continues.
Inspect parts for defects; verify results using drawings, gauges, micrometers, and scales.
Load and unload materials; help move parts and components as needed.
Follow all safety procedures; promptly report equipment or tooling issues.
Pitch in with other duties as assigned to meet production goals.
What you need to succeed
2–3 months of machine operation or manufacturing experience preferred.
Comfort with basic math (addition and subtraction).
Ability to read measurements and use common inspection tools.
English speaking preferred.
Physical demands
Lift up to 10 lbs.
Stand for periods, move materials, and perform light physical tasks.
