Every day in Franklin, USA, you’ll help turn semi‑finished molybdenum and tungsten into highly engineered components that power advanced technologies worldwide. As part of the Plansee Group—50 countries strong—you’ll join a close‑knit local team backed by global expertise.
A Day in the Life
Start by performing first‑piece checks and first article inspections, setting the quality baseline for the shift.
Move to in‑process and final inspections, confirming parts meet drawings, specifications, and quality assurance standards.
Capture and store clear electronic inspection reports using customer prints and specs, ensuring traceability.
Complete quality documentation meticulously, including non‑conforming material reports, travelers, and control charts.
Work from blueprints, travelers, work instructions, process specifications, sketches, and verbal guidance to execute varied inspection tasks.
Verify gauges, tools, and inspection machinery are calibrated in accordance with company requirements.
What You Bring
High school diploma or GED; technical manufacturing education and/or ASQ inspector certification preferred.
Deep command of GD&T with the ability to read and interpret machining and fabrication drawings.
Comfort with MS Windows tools (Word, Excel, Outlook) and MRP systems.
Exceptional attention to detail and advanced shop math; trigonometry skills are a plus.
Experience running and programming Zeiss CMMs with Calypso is a plus.
Familiarity with aerospace standards (AS9100, AS9102, ASTM’s) is advantageous.
Meet the requirements under ITAR – U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card holder).
