Precision Plating and Finishing Operator

What if your next role let you master cutting-edge surface processes that improve how aircraft fly, chips compute, and energy systems perform? Here, you’ll learn the craft—no prior experience required—and contribute to products trusted in the world’s most demanding industries.

Imagine your shift

It’s 7:30 and your 12-hour day (or night) begins. You review the job instructions, prep your station, and rotate through key operations:

  • Operate processes spanning coating, blasting, masking, plating, and chamber operations, following SOPs precisely.
  • Inspect parts and materials at each stage to catch defects, contamination, damage, or any nonconforming condition, then take action or escalate through the proper channel.
  • Load and unload customer hardware with the correct tools and material-handling methods, maintaining strict safety and quality standards.
  • Keep equipment and work areas in top shape—routine cleaning, basic upkeep—and flag equipment concerns to leadership immediately.
  • Document production data, complete job routers and quality forms, and report nonconformances as required.
  • Jump in where needed across departments, tackling additional tasks or projects based on production priorities.

When you’ll work

  • Monday–Friday alternating 2/2/3 schedule.
  • 12-hour shifts running 7:30–7:30 on both day and night rotations.
  • Be prepared to support overtime and, if needed, weekend or holiday coverage to meet demand.

What helps you thrive

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to follow technical procedures, detailed work instructions, and safety guidelines.
  • Mechanical assembly skills that translate to careful, hands-on work.
  • Reliability and flexibility in a fast-paced production environment.
