Compensation Highlight: Starting Pay will be $22.85 per hour plus $1.35 per hour shift premium for second shift.

Your day-to-day

You’ll start your shift by reviewing build instructions and quality checkpoints, then move to hands-on assembly of pump components. Using calipers, micrometers, gages, and meters, you’ll verify close-tolerance fits (as tight as 0.002) and document results. You’ll set up and adjust test equipment to keep workflow efficient, and collaborate in quick “5 Whys” sessions to resolve production hiccups. Throughout the day, you’ll follow Standard Work Instructions, uphold housekeeping and safety expectations, and look for continuous-improvement opportunities using IR Business Systems tools. You’ll wrap up by confirming final operation, labeling, and preparing completed units for the next stage.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Assemble small and complex components with high manual dexterity and excellent workmanship.
  • Set up, run, and fine-tune test equipment to sustain throughput and quality.
  • Fit, align, and adjust parts to very close tolerances; follow Standard Work Instructions.
  • Participate in ‘5 Whys’ problem-solving exercises to remove root causes.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area; model and report safe practices.
  • Use IR Business Systems tools to drive continuous improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications

  • 3+ years in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2+ years of assembly experience.
  • 2+ years using precision measurement tools (micrometers, gages, meters, calipers, etc.).
  • 2+ years reading/understanding blueprints, schematics, and written or verbal work instructions.
  • 2+ years fitting parts to close tolerances (example: 0.002).

Core strengths

  • Hands-on mechanical aptitude; comfortable with industrial processes, safety, and CI.
  • Self-directed while contributing positively to a team environment.
  • Clear verbal and written communication; proficient speaking and reading English.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving in technical, fast-moving settings.

Preferred

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Soldering experience.

Work environment and physical requirements

  • Onsite industrial manufacturing setting with exposure to noise, heat, cold, fumes, and chemicals.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Kneel, bend, climb ladders, work in restricted spaces, and stand/walk for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working at heights (e.g., scissor lift).
