The challenge

Take ownership of cradle-to-ship quality on precision-machined components:

  • Plan and execute visual and dimensional inspections with CMM and Faro systems across features such as height, length, ID/OD, true position, runout, concentricity, flatness, thread standards, and roundness.
  • Lead quality checks to surface defects and deviations; collaborate with manufacturing to diagnose root causes and recommend process adjustments to machining operations.
  • Guarantee traceability and correct drawing revisions; capture complete, accurate results in logs and databases to monitor quality and rework.
  • Perform 100% First Article Inspections per drawings, technical instructions, and AS9100.
  • Oversee gauge calibration and upkeep; arrange external calibrations, source inspections, and support quality audits with customers, suppliers, and governmental agencies.
  • Model and enforce safety standards.

What sets you apart

  • 1–10 years in inspection/quality or related metrology roles
  • Fluency in blueprint interpretation and GD&T
  • Comfort with Microsoft Office 365, netInspec, Discuss, Zeiss Calypso, and Faro Cam 2
  • Sharp attention to detail, strong problem-solving, and clear communication across functions

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required; A.S. degree and certifications in GD&T, ASQ CQI, and/or metrology preferred.
